About Us

What is TFT?

True Freedom Trust (TFT) is a UK-based teaching and pastoral support ministry that holds to the orthodox biblical view of sex, gender and relationships. Our passionate desire is to be full of grace and truth as we teach God's word in churches, conferences and Bible colleges, and as we provide pastoral care for those who struggle with same-sex temptations and gender incongruence.

We run conferences around the UK aimed at encouraging and equipping Christians to hold firm to biblical teaching and to trust in the God of all grace in the midst of struggles and temptations.

Trustees & Volunteers

The Board of Trustees meets three or four times per year to oversee the work of TFT. The Charity Commission website provides a list of these trustees. They are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of True Freedom Trust, developing its aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the Constitution (dated 22nd October 2014) and legal and regulatory guidelines. True Freedom Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose only voting members are its charity trustees.

We also have a team of over forty Voluntary Workers (VWs) around the UK, who are trained to offer pastoral assessments, one-to-one support and to lead our regional support groups. VWs operate within TFT's Code of Practice and each VW's work is overseen by a Support VW or a staff member.

How we operate

The ministry is run by a small team of paid staff and we also have a network of Voluntary Workers throughout the UK and Ireland, who can provide pastoral support and who lead our regional support groups.

TFT is a member of the Evangelical Alliance and we hold to their statement of faith as well as to our own Basis. We have no specific affiliation with any denomination.

As a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation, we are overseen by the UK Charity Commission (Number 1159015) and governed by a Board of Trustees. Our accounts are published in accordance with Charity Commission regulations.
