New TfT Director

True freedom Trust (TfT) has appointed a new Director, Jonathan Berry, to succeed Martin Hallett. Martin co-founded TfT in 1977 and has served as TfT Director for thirty-two years.

Jonathan, aged 41, was converted out of a long-term gay relationship aged 24 and, after training at Bible College, served as the pastor of a church in East London for ten years. His passion is for seeing lives transformed by the power of God's Word and he looks forward to leading the ministry forward and building on the excellent foundation laid by Martin.

The question of homosexual practice continues to be a sensitive and controversial issue within the Church, and TfT is committed to helping equip Christians to show compassion and offer practical love and support to fellow-believers who struggle with same-sex attractions.

At the TfT Annual Conference in October 2009, Martin officially handed over the leadership of TfT to Jonathan and expressed his gratitude to God for the support and love of TfT's members. The TfT Trustees then commissioned Jonathan into his new role as Director of TfT.
