"Pressing On" Conference (Edinburgh) - 22 June 2019

This one day conference is being held in Edinburgh on 22 June 2019. The day is for Christians who experience same-sex temptations, along with their friends, family, church leaders and youth workers. The event is open to both members and non-members of TFT. 

Holding firm to the biblical position on sexuality morality, particularly where it calls a person to celibacy, can be challenging as we seek to be faithful to God year after year. Our own desires tempt us to disobedience. The church can often provide encouragements, but sometimes it can overlook singles in its preoccupation with marriage and family life. The world scoffs at the Christian worldview and can try to seduce us away from God.

At the "Pressing On" conference, we will be unpacking Hebrews 12 and embracing its call to "throw off everything that hinders" and to fix our eyes on Jesus "so that [we] will not grow weary and lose heart".

Here are the provisional talk titles for the day:

• Pressing on... despite our frailties (Stuart Parker)
• Pressing on... as part of the church (local speaker for each venue)
• Pressing on... in a world of temptation (Rob Wood)

The conference fee includes tea and coffee at breaks. Please either bring your own lunch or buy it locally on the day.
